SNSD is coming back to Korea with a new full album this September. Local media reported that the girl group has been working on their third regular album lately, and after debating the right timing, they’ve decided to release it this September.

“SNSD has been rumored to return sometime this fall, and to my knowledge, they set their comeback date to September. They’re busy recording their new songs right now, so depending on their progress, the release date could change 1-2 weeks,” an industry official told local media.

This album would be their first since “Oh!”, their second full album that came out in January, 2010. Since it’s SNSD’s first return to Korea in 20 months, fans are anticipating another mind-blowing album, yet the group’s new concept and style are totally kept secret by SM Entertainment.

Following the news of SNSD’s return in September, Korean music industry officials are expected to be on alert and avoid releasing any new albums at the same time. “All the attention is going to be paid to SNSD, so going face to face with them would be pointless. Especially, if they release a full album, there’s no question they are going to dominate all the music charts as well,” an industry official was quoted as saying.

SNSD’s return could alter the whole K-Pop landscape this coming fall. Another popular girl group, Kara, has recently announced their return to Korea in September and Brown Eyes Girls are also rumored to make their comeback sometime soon as well. Definitely something to look forward to!
