Late last year, it was reported that Choi Sooyoung was cast on the drama 'Speed' however, for reasons involving drama production, SM management turned down the role.
It has been a sad news for many Sooyoungsters but worry no more because our cheerful princess might once again be given the chance to finally grace the drama scene.
Choi Sooyoung is cast on the upcoming tvN medical drama "Third Hospital". The drama is produced by Taewon Entertainment, the same company which produced Marrying the Mafia, Athena, and IRIS. Sooyoung will play the role of a violist trapped in a love square alongside renowned actors Kim Seung-Woo, Oh Ji Ho, and Kim Min Jung.
The "Third Hospital" story revolves on the competition between western and eastern medicine in the neurosurgery department of an alternative hospital. It is Korea's first advanced medical drama and aims to conjure a new concept of drama genres in Korea, specifically that revolving on drama suspense.
Filming is scheduled to start on April and drama airing is set on late July.
